An Ecological Continuity Ranking corresponds to all or part of a course or course, a channel identified in an order taken by the prefect coordinator of the basin in application of the;' article L.214-17 of code l'' environment.
The classification in List 1 (1° of § I of l'' Article L. 214-17 of the code of l''environment) is intended to protect certain courses of {\#x27;' water from degradation and allows to d’#x27;' display a long-term preservation objective. They cancel, replace, and complete the classification as “reserved rivers” under the 1919 Act.
List 2 (2° of §1 of l'' Article L. 214-17 of the code of l''environment), cancels, replaces and completes the concept of “rivers classified” under L. 432-6 of the code of l''environment, must allow for ¶#x27;' quickly ensure compatibility of existing structures with the objectives of ecological continuity.
The Ecological Continuity Ranking contributes, among other things, to the blue frame.
The founding regulatory text of'' an Ecological Continuity Ranking is l'' Ranking Order signed
by the prefect co-ordinating basin according to the procedure defined by l'' article R.214-10 of the code of l'' environment providing for departmental consultation of classification projects before validation by the prefect coordinator of the basin.
After consultation at departmental level, the Prefect of Department shall forward to the Basin Committee a preliminary draft Lists L.214-17-I for advisory opinion with a view to classification under L.214-17-I.
Once the opinion of the pool committee has been collected, the prefect coordinator of the basin decides whether or not to proceed with the classification. The Classification of Ecological Continuity corresponds to the \#x27;' information mentioned in the decrees of
ranking.
