These sectors identify the perimeters of the Concerted Planning Areas (ZAC) on Rennes Métropole.
A concerted development area is an area within which a public authority or a public institution with a purpose therein decides to intervene in order to carry out or cause to be carried out the development and equipment of the land, in particular those which that community or establishment has acquired or will acquire for the purpose of transferring it or subsequently conceding it to public or private users. The perimeter and programme of the concerted development area shall be approved by deliberation by the municipal council or the deliberating body of the public inter-municipal cooperation institution. However, the prefect shall, following the opinion of the municipal council of the municipality or municipalities concerned or of the competent public inter-municipal cooperation institution, be set up by the prefect, on the initiative of the State, the regions, the departments or their public and concessionary establishments and the concerted development areas situated, in whole or in part, within an area of operation of national interest. A single concerted development area can be created on several territorially distinct locations.
