Corine Land Cover — Basque Country 2012
Corine Land Cover (CLC) is a land use inventory established since 1985 as part of the European programme for the coordination of environmental information (Corine).
This inventory is produced by visual interpretation of satellite images. The production scale is 1/100 000, allowing for analysis at the regional or national level.
Land cover is described according to a nomenclature of 44 posts in 5 main categories.
This nomenclature makes it possible to distinguish large types of land cover according to a common typology and to assign an official colour code. It is divided into 5 main categories:
\- artificialised territories;
\- agricultural territories;
\- forests and semi-natural environments;
\- wetlands;
\- water surfaces.
