Dataset description

Bicycle feed counts are carried out in March or early April (excluding school holidays). For each counting point, the results are presented in all senses combined and reported to an hourly average. Counts are carried out Tuesday or Thursday only in 3 time slots and Saturday on 2 slices (noon and evening): • Morning period: 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. • Lunchtime: 11:30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. • Evening period: 4:30 p.m. to 16:30 p.m. Be careful, not all points are counted every year. Since 2016 bike counts are no longer carried out on Saturdays. We draw attention to the fact that these counts count bicycle flows and in no case travel or the number of bicycles (in the sense of separate people). Indeed, some bikes can be counted several times successively or on the contrary some others never counted. The value of this method lies in the estimation of bicycle use and its evolution.
