The “Energy Info Spaces” is a national network initiated by Ademe and now mainly operated by the Region and local authorities, in order to promote energy efficiency, renewable energy and the rational use of energy. This network is responsible for providing independent and free information, raising awareness, advising and accompanying individuals. EIAs may be supported by community-based structures or by local authorities and may or may not be funded by the EIAs that make up them. They advise on the most relevant insulation, heating and renovation work, taking into account the needs and means of the individual. They can also present the equipment and materials proposed on the market based on tools and documents validated by the ADEME and the Region, inform about public and private aid, carry out calculations and a simple thermal balance to facilitate an energy choice, and refer, if necessary, to professionals likely to intervene in the project using recognised national labels.
