Metadata This table contains legislative constituencies from data.gouv.Fr/producer Quorum. The legislative map: constituency Detailed Contours of Legislative Districts (2012 definition) built from existing data in OpenStreetMap with a level of detail approaching address. The missing data for 25 city centers are supplemented by the cutting proposed by the Toxicode site. For the parliamentary elections, the division is carried out by constituency which are themselves a group of cantons. However, for legislative constituencies the former division of the cantons is still used. To create precise and detailed data on the division of legislative constituencies of the contributors of OpenStreetMap France have therefore carried out new work. To do so, they proceeded as follows: • find descriptions of the former division of cantons in various publications of the Official Journal, • correctly interpret these descriptions, • group all the descriptions found, integrate these descriptions with OpenStreetMap in order to create the data relating to the division of constituencies. From this work carried out by OpenStreetMap contributors we were able to create the dataset presenting the contours of the legislative constituencies at a very fine level of detail, approaching the address.** Since we lacked data for about 20 downtown we completed this division thanks to the work of Toxicode. Finally, we were able to accurately determine the distribution of election billboards between each electoral district. The production of this data with a very fine level of detail, based on the contributions of citizens engaged in Open Data and Free, again testifies to the intelligence that OpenData can produce! Also, we use this cutting within the project panels-election.fr for the legislative 2017 with mapotempo. .
