Dataset description

The table L_CIRCONSCRIPTION_LEGISLATIVE_075 delimits the legislative districts of Paris. French legislative constituencies are territorial perimeters in which deputies to the National Assembly are elected. They are defined on the basis of demographic criteria (data from the population census), each having to represent a comparable number of inhabitants in order to respect the principle of equality before the vote. The division of constituencies is included in the Electoral Code, Annex 1, Table of electoral districts of departments (election of deputies). It was last amended by Ordinance No. 2009-935 of 29 July 2009 on the distribution of seats and delimitation of constituencies for the election of deputies. France currently has 577 constituencies, eleven of which concern French nationals established abroad. The department of Paris is divided into 18 legislative constituencies, which are partly based on the boundaries of the Parisian districts and districts. __Origin__ Sources of the boundaries: Electoral Code, Annex 1, Table of the electoral districts of the departments (election of Members) — consultation on legifrance.gouv.fr on 29 March 2017; official website of the parliamentary elections, map of the Paris Department’s constituencies for the 2012 legislative elections: http://www.elections-legislatives.fr/circonscriptions/075.asp — consultation on 29 March 2017. The contours are based on the Arrondissement (January 2010) and Quartier (January 2010) databases of the Paris Urban Planning Workshop (APUR), available on the opendata.apur.org platform, when the boundaries of the districts follow the boundaries of boroughs and districts. When the electoral code refers to routes to delimit a constituency, the contour was set on the line of the APUR Track Base (according to BSPP, April 2016), available on opendata.apur.org. Warning: the L_CIRCONSCRIPTION_LEGISLATIVE_075 table is not topologically reliable. As it stands, this data is suitable for cartographic representations, but its use to perform spatial queries should be considered with caution. __Partner organisations__ Regional and interdepartmental direction of equipment and equipment; development Île-de-France — Paris Departmental Unit __Links annexes__ * [XML metadata view](http://ogc.geo-ide.developpement-durable.gouv.fr/csw/all-dataset?REQUEST=GetRecordById&SERVICE=CSW&VERSION=2.0.2&RESULTTYPE=results&elementSetName=full&TYPENAMES=gmd:MD_Metadata&OUTPUTSCHEMA=http://www.isotc211.org/2005/gmd&ID=fr-120066022-jdd-5a3d4065-2aac-4d6a-b665-ab3378a79e88) [See this page on geo.data.gouv.fr](https://geo.data.gouv.fr/fr/datasets/9b1d4876b81765473d7e7a861dd7911a7e6b124c)
