The Alsatian agri-environmental and climate strategy is described in measure 10 of the RDP. Its objectives are to meet the following needs:
— develop agri-environment, organic farming and compensate for natural handicaps,
— preserving and restoring biodiversity and the quality of water resources as well as soil quality.
It is based on 3 environmental issues.
Challenge & Biodiversity & Landscapes & Quot; is a major challenge for Alsace, which is endowed with natural environments " diversified in more than half of its territory. A great wealth of species is associated with these ecosystems, some of them, such as the great hamster and the great tetras being emblematic of the region. This biological richness when it is combined with traditional agricultural activities (herbage and pastoral systems, polyculture, high thatches...) is also at the origin of diversified landscapes of high quality, major assets of the region both for the quality of life of the inhabitants and for the attractiveness and development of the territories.
Through the Biodiversity and Landscapes challenge, the regional strategy aims to:
— Preserving remarkable or threatened natural resources and fragile environments,
— Reduce the ecological fragmentation of the territory and restore the green and blue frame at regional level,
— Maintain mountain agriculture adapted to the preservation of biodiversity and the opening of landscapes,
— To limit the risk of intensification of practices in the plains,
— Strengthen the approaches of territories initiated to preserve biodiversity and the quality of landscapes within the framework of the Management Plans of the Rural and Peri-urban Area (GERPLAN),
— Preserve agricultural genetic resources (animal and plant) via the SMR and PRV measures (not covered by this call for projects),
— Improve the pollinating potential of honeybees for biodiversity conservation via the API measure (not covered by this call for projects).
__Origin__
The contour of each territory is digitised with a level of precision corresponding to a scale at 1/5.000th on the background of aerial orthographs, so that it is compatible with the graphic parcel register on which the elements engaged in MAE-C are located.
The perimeter is built on the basis of the zone d' intervention against pollution from #x27; agricultural origin (ZIPOA).
