Dataset description

Data from the following digital consultation campaign: A charter of reciprocal commitments between Paris and associations The consultation was open on idee.paris from 15 January to 10 February 2019. The density of associative life in Paris is unique. Nearly 5,000 associations are created there each year, more than 70,000 associations are active in Paris, from local interest to international reach, 700,000 volunteers are committed to it and 116 000 employees develop the projects of the 11,300 employing associations. Supported by the City of Paris at every stage of their lives, the associations benefit from free, digital or on-the-ground services, funding and support with sixteen Maisons de la vie associative et citizen and the Carrefour des associations Parisnes, a site dedicated to the advice and training of members of associations. Structured, associations are often partners in public policies and accompany the deployment of projects of general interest in the territory. A plan to support associative life was drawn up in March 2017, and voted in the Paris Council. In particular, it plans to promote all forms of engagement, to put digital at the service of commitment, to help the development and communication of associations, to simplify their procedures. To go even further the City of Paris, with the support of the Associative Movement, wished to draw up a Paris Charter of reciprocal commitments with the associations, which must detail on the one hand the commitments of the City of Paris and on the other hand the commitments of associations to promote this cooperation on a sustainable basis, as well as methods of monitoring the commitments of both parties. From January to June 2019, the City of Paris invited associations to contribute to the work of drawing up the Charter, which aims to define a sustainable framework for exchanges and work between the City and the associations.
