Digital consultation — Together build a setting for Notre-Dame — Idea box — 2021

Data from the following digital consultation campaign: Together let’s build a setting for Our Lady The consultation was open on idee.paris from 7 June to 1 November 2021. Two years after the terrible fire of Notre Dame, which moved the Parisians, the French and more broadly the world, the City of Paris will take its place in the renaissance of this exceptional site. Echoing the restoration of the cathedral, the City of Paris wanted to undertake a project of redevelopment and enhancement of its surroundings, which will participate in the enhancement of Notre Dame and a better welcome of visitors. The project of redevelopment of the surroundings of Notre-Dame is complementary to the reconstruction work of the cathedral carried out under the aegis of the Public Institution for Conservation and Restoration of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris (EPRND). The objectives of the consultation were to: to inform the inhabitants about the realisation of a future development project on the outskirts of Notre-Dame; to bring a qualitative knowledge of the surroundings of Our Lady, which have often remained little studied in relation to the Cathedral itself; collect the expertise of local residents, Parisians and visitors, in order to feed proposals from candidates for competitive dialogue.
