Dataset description

Flood protection dams (fluvial and coastal) controlled by the Safety Control Service for Hydraulic Works of the DREAL Pays de la Loire. Data extracted: * atlas of defenses against the sea and river dikes in Vendée (DDTM 85) * census of protection works against marine submersions in the Loire-Atlantic region (DDTM44) Part of the information also comes from the SIOUH database (Water Works Information System), a regulatory monitoring tool introduced with the publication of Decree No 2007-1735 and its implementing decrees.
