Families and sets of landscapes in Auvergne

This dataset constitutes the GIS layer of families and sets of landscape in Auvergne resulting from the approach of "l'Atlas des landscapes" carried by the DREAL Auvergne and published in 2014. The sets of landscapes extend over territories of one or several dozen kilometres and are perceived on this scale. They call it a proper name for landscapes. A set of landscapes is therefore a part of territory with a relatively appearance homogeneous. It differs from others and is clearly identified by certain particularities closely or remotely related to geomorphology, plant formations, practices diverse human beings, more or less recent (food, agricultural, forestry, industrial, tourism, safety, symbolic...), constructions, lifestyles... The family map offers nine categories, to distinguish the great types of landscapes that we meet in Auvergne.
