Fénétrange Heritage

The topographic inventory survey that provided the materials of this study conducted on the communal territory of the city of Fénétrange (57), was conducted from 2017 to 2021 by the inventory and heritage department of the Grand Est region. Combining field study and archival research, it consisted of a systematic census and study of all the buildings from the origins of the 1970s, as well as public movable objects, and, as far as possible, private, inside the former urban enclosure, the entire suburb and outside the village including the boarding school of Divine Providence, the former hermitage of Brudergarten and the Domaine de Fontenoy. The census makes it possible to establish a typology, then to select for the study a representative percentage of each type of building (architecture work) and to feed a synthesis on the whole corpus. Collective files include all the elements identified and complete the study. Each folder is illustrated by a photographic cover.
