This involves the deployment of fiber optics and management equipment for such a network. A concession contract was signed on 25 July 2007 and notified on 20 September 2007 by Rennes Métropole to Rennes Métropole Télécom. The duration of the contract is 22 years. This fiber optic network is intended for professional uses (dedicated fibre) and connects public sites, companies, and telephone exchanges. As part of the verification of compliance and reception of the network, Rennes Métropole Télécom must provide Rennes Métropole with the entire network in GIS format annually.
