Dataset description
The global competitiveness cluster Finance Innovation has published the results of the 1st list of start-ups of Fintech and French Assurtech, with the support of Groupe BPCE, Truffle Capital and Sopra Steria Group.
This dataset presents the Top 100 ranking of French Fintechs and Assurtechs (i.e. a majority of French capital or having a head office in France) on the basis of five criteria: 2021 turnover, 2021 growth, 2021 workforce, funds raised since the creation and efficiency of capital (the 2021 turnover divided by raised funds or equity since the company’s inception).
The study was carried out between December 2021 and February 2022, after selecting a target file of 200 Fintech & Assurtech that raised at least EUR 2 million before the end of 2020 and/or reached a significant CA level.
More than 110 interviews were conducted with the French Fintech & Assurtech ecosystem, complemented by desk research, analysis of available public data and expert advice from the study steering committee.
