This layer of points locates the Fire Water Points (PEI) in the territory of Rennes Métropole, the metropolis with the competence of Defense Exterior Against Fire (DECI) since 2015.
The update of this layer is delegated to the Collectivité Eau du Bassin Rennais (CEBR) as manager of all DECI equipment powered by the drinking water supply network. The Natural Water Points Aménagés (PENA), which also contribute to the DECI of the metropolitan territory, are located on this layer under the responsibility of seizure of the Direction de la Highways of Rennes Métropole.
The availability information available here is **hydraulic availability** and not **operational availability**. The PEIs put into unavailability are by default a permanent or temporary hydraulic supply or by the knowledge of direct or nearby work preventing their use during an accident.
