Fish passes on waterways belonging to the Brittany Region

Owner of 505 km and manager of 425 kilometers of waterways representing more than 4,850 hectares of public domain that borders them, the Brittany Region is responsible for a transport network that is characterised not only by its extent but also by the many natural resources and various uses it carries. Pursuant to the Environmental Code (L214-17), on 10 July 2012 the State classified watercourses in terms of their ecological status and in particular their biological potential. A compliance program with this regulatory framework is under way and aims to equip fish-passing structures. __Origin__ Data created by the Directorate for Inland Waterways Service of the Brittany Region.
