The Shapefile format is intended for geographic information systems (GIS). It contains all the information related to the geometry of the objects described. It consists of three files with the same name, with the SHP, DBF (attributes), SHX (geometry index) and PRJ (data projection system) extensions.
The file contains all the lines of the national railway network.
The MNEMO column shows the statuses of each row: project (PROJET), operated (EXPLOITE), neutralised (UTE), neutralised and retained (FED SUT), transferred to service track (VS), closed undeposed (SERME ND), closed with track hold (SERME MV), closed and deposited (FERME D), closed (FERME DT), closed to third parties (FERME DT), cut off (slick), decommissioned unsold (DEC NV), sold decommissioned (DEC V).
A line section is a physically continuous part of a line, bounded by two nodes of ends (origin and end) of the line section, and having a consistent tracking system. When discontinuity occurs, the line is cut into several sections, with an increasing row.
The precision of the shapefile of the lines is decametric: medium-scale use (1/50.000th).
This game publishes the data in the state of the databases as at 31/12/2021.
