Geographical relations distant from the 2013 licences of sports federations to their club

The annual census of licences from sports federations approved by the Ministry in charge of sports makes it possible to measure the level and evolution over time of supervised sport. These statistics provide insight into public policies for the development of sport, both nationally and territorially. It is a census at the place of habitation of the person and not at the place of practice. Licensing clubs are sometimes very far from the licensee’s place of residence. This is particularly noticeable for disciplines whose practice conditions adhere to a specific relief (littoral, mountain...). The Census of Licences of Sports Federations allows, by tracing the licensed/club link, to return these distant geographical relationships which are potentially as many trips motivated by sports practice. The data relate to three sports federations (FF): FF sailing, FF golf and FF studies and underwater sports For each federation, volumes of licences are presented per couple “common residence of the licensee/commune domiciliation of the club”
