Geolocation of polling stations

This dataset is a geocoded version of **[file of polling stations published by INSEE](https://www.insee.fr/fr/information/3539086)**. It was geocoded using: — the National Address Base (February 2020) — the BANO of OpenStreetMap France (February 2020) — points of interest extracted from OpenStreetMap ATTENTION: Geocoding is an imperfect process that cannot always locate a polling station, their addresses are not standardised and sometimes very imprecise. Of the 70,000 offices of the original file, 60000 could be geocoded more or less precisely during a **first geocoding**. The geo_type column indicates the geographical accuracy: — housenumber: accuracy at address — interpolation: position interpolated between 2 addresses — street: position “on the street” — locality: position “instead said” — municipality: position “to the municipality” — POI: position related to a point of interest (may, school, etc.) geo_score: indicates the match rate of the initial wording sought and the one found, the higher it is, the more likely the address is to be the correct one.
