Grants to municipalities under Component 1 of the 2030 Finistère Pact

The Departmental Council of Finistère is changing its policy of supporting municipalities and intercommunities. What’s this about? An annual allocation per canton, distributed among municipalities with less than 10,000 inhabitants, to finance small projects carried out during the year. Examples: * Communal road * Small heritage * Aid to the last trade * Small sports equipment * Layout and living environment How does it work? In the last quarter of each year, a meeting of the mayors of the canton, chaired by the Vice-President of the Departmental Council in charge of the Territories, will distribute the cantonal envelope among the municipalities. Distribution principles Each canton will be endowed with an envelope in proportion to its population, with a solidarity coefficient to further support the poorest and most extensive cantons. Indicative amount on mandate *EUR 50 million.
