Hiking trails in Douaisis

To preserve its natural heritage, DOUAISIS AGGLO launched in 2003 the implementation of a green and blue frame. It is based on the preservation, strengthening and enhancement of nature poles (terrils, regional nature reserves, urban parks, Natura 2000 sites). The linking of these ecosystems is also an integral part of the issues related to the green and blue frame. Connecting nature hearts allows species migration and thus their survival. Implementation actions include the creation of a network of multifunctional hiking loops. These paths have been designed to preserve and enhance the heritage of Douaisis, protect the environment and develop leisure activities. 200 km of hiking trails are offered to the public.
