Hunting Company — Hautes-Pyrénées

Hunting societies are associations law 1901, the purpose of which is the practice of hunting. These hunting societies have a role of public interest by ensuring in particular an agro-sylvo-cyneetic balance, as defined in the; Article L 420-1 of the code of the Environment. __Origin__ These hunting societies practice hunting on lands where they have the right to hunt. Since this right of hunting is linked to the right of ownership, the owners transfer their right to hunt to a hunting society. The practice of hunting s' exercises over legal periods authorised by the state. These hunting companies can evolve by grouping companies between themselves, or by splitting up. When several hunting societies practice hunting in the same communal or intercommunal territory, their representations overlap.
