The Departmental Plan of Walking and Hiking Routes (PDIPR) aims to promote the discovery of natural sites and rural landscapes by developing the practice of hiking. The Department is competent to establish the PDIPR pursuant to Article L361-1 of the Environment Code. In Ain, the PDIPR is an old policy since it dates back to 1984. In 2018, the Department adopted a new hiking strategy in Ain, relying on intercommunalities to offer the most emblematic loops and routes in their territories. The PDIPR is therefore currently in a recast phase that will last until the end of 2021. This data corresponds to the new version with a route logic. On the latter remains a work in topology and recovery of geomercies from GPX traces.
