Dataset description

A landscape unit is a homogeneous and coherent part of space both physionomically, biophysical and socio-economic. Its different constituents, atmospheres, dynamics and modes of perception make it possible to characterise it. A landscape unit has its own characteristics, a spatial organisation and specific evolutions. The analysis of several units allows: * a sensitive approach carried out in the field, * a thematic approach that allows the connection of homogeneous elements of the surrounding landscape, * a dynamic approach aimed at clarifying and appreciating trends in landscape evolution. These landscape units come from the Atlas of Landscapes in 2011.
