Dataset description

This dataset presents university libraries and the “major institutions” in France, including those supported by the Biblio'RIF (aid for the modernisation and adaptation of higher education and research libraries). It is based on data from the Ministry of Higher Education and Research but was enriched by the Development Unit of the Île-de-France Region concerning the years and amounts of Biblio'RIF aid between 2006 and 2012. The “NoctamBU” label is awarded to libraries offering at least 100 seats and open at least 65 hours per week (considered as an international standard) and up to 8 pm.
