Dataset description

Ministry of Culture/DRASSM — Shom The product “Limit of the Preventive Archaeology Fee” contains the limit of the preventive archaeology fee defined by the Heritage Code. This limit is managed by the Department of Underwater and Underwater Archaeological Research (DRASSM) of the Ministry of Culture. This limit, defined as 1 nautical mile from the low sea mark, makes it possible to delimit the areas subject to the fee for preventive archaeology at sea. In metropolitan France at the level of the Gironde estuary, the royalty limit for preventive archaeology is set at the transverse boundary of the sea as defined in the decree of 26 August 1857. In Guyana, the fee limit for preventive archaeology is fixed in the Maroni and Oyapock rivers at the transverse limits of the sea defined respectively by the Decree of 30 January 1991 and Order No 863 of 26 May 1986, until it meets the land borders delimiting those rivers with neighbouring States. The product “Limit of the fee for preventive archaeology” is to be used in addition to the digital product “Maritime Delimitations” of the Shom, which represents the limits of France’s maritime areas of sovereignty or jurisdiction in the world. The product “Marine Delimitations” can be viewed on data.shom.fr (Maritime Limits category) and can be downloaded from the national maritime boundary portal (https://limitesmaritimes.gouv.fr). __Origine__ Numerical translation of limits defined in official texts. The marine limits associated with the charge for preventive archaeology (1 nautical mile) are derived from Shom calculations made from the low-sea mark elements extracted from the electronic navigation charts (ENC) produced by the Shom. __ Partner Organisations__ SHOM, DRASSM __Links annexes__ * [Shom Geographic Information Portal](https://data.shom.fr/) * [national maritime boundary portal](https://limitesmaritimes.gouv.fr/) [See this sheet on geo.data.gouv.fr](https://geo.data.gouv.fr/fr/datasets/5ce658279affedcd3bb95762f895e05892a01948)
