Dataset description
The maximum share of intermittent renewable energy (wind and photovoltaic without storage) that can be injected into island networks at a given time is limited to 35 %. Beyond this threshold, disconnections or limitations are possible in order to preserve the stability of the electrical system.
This dataset details monthly the maximum number of hours of disconnection and limitation of photovoltaic installations.
As of 2019, a new indicator is integrated into the dataset: the ENR rate interfaced by accepted power electronics.
