Meet Hip Hop 2018

The week celebrates all the artistic disciplines related to the hip-hop movement, with dance, graffiti, rap, deejaying and human beatbox. A national call for participation is launched, allowing all holders of hip-hop initiatives and urban cultures to include their projects in the site’s agenda in order to integrate its programming. A major closing event will be offered on Saturday 2 June, free entry, simultaneously in Lille, Marseille, Nantes, Nîmes and Paris. These five initiatives will bring together French and international artists from all the arts of hip-hop (graffiti, dance, music) with a program combining emerging talents and leading figures in the movement. Rendezvous Hip Hop aims to promote urban expression throughout France and to bring all audiences together during a great popular festival. Rendezvous Hip Hop is a project supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of National Education, initiated by Hip Hop Citoyens (Paris) with the help of Da Storm (Nîmes), Flow (Lille), Affranchi (Marseille) and Pick Up Production (Nantes), five major players in hip-hop in France. The agenda is updated daily (at 2:30 a.m.).
