The production of wines is strictly regulated and controlled by the INAO (National Institute of Appellations of Origin). Those rules provide for the issuing of a label by the wine trade union concerned. The wines of Designation d’Origine must meet production conditions laid down by decree: defined production area, grapes, minimum alcoholic degree, maximum yield, cultivation techniques, analytical standards and organoleptic control The area of designation of origin “AOC” of Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule concerns 19 municipalities and 650 Ha.
This layer does not contain the parcel delimitation of the areas eligible for the n°#x27; appellation, but only the municipalities concerned by the #x27th; appellation as defined in Ministerial Decree No 2011-1072 of 7 September 2011.
