The file provides the number of beneficiaries of social assistance for the accommodation (ASH) of the elderly (PA) paid for 2018 in the Department of Seine-Maritime, classified according to the intercommunality (EPCI) to which the commune of the emergency home belongs (see glossary, in metadata).
To avoid a stay at home constrained by financial reasons, social assistance for accommodation (ASH) can cover all or part of the costs of housing an elderly person in accommodation facilities for dependent elderly people (EHPAD, see glossary), long-term care units (USLD, see glossary), independent residence (see glossary) or a family host (see Glossary).
It can be requested from the departmental council by seniors staying in an institution or in a family home. In the event of an agreement, the departmental council pays the difference between the amount of the invoice and the contribution of the person, or even his or her food obligors.
