New Aquitaine: 2018 vulnerable zones to nitrate pollution of agricultural origin in the Adour-Garonne basin — Perimeters (surfacic)

This dataset contains the restricted areas (surface objects) of vulnerable areas. A vulnerable zone is a part of the territory where pollution of water by direct or indirect discharge of nitrates from agriculture and #x27; other nitrogen compounds likely to turn into nitrates, threatens in the short term the quality of aquatic environments and in particular the supply of drinking water. Vulnerable areas shall be designated as vulnerable areas where: — surface and groundwater fresh water, in particular those intended for drinking water, has a nitrate content exceeding 40 mg/l, — estuary waters, coastal or marine waters and surface fresh waters which have undergone or show a tendency towards eutrophication likely to be #x27;be effectively combated by reducing nitrogen inputs and have a nitrate content exceeding 18 mg/L. The list of municipalities or parts of communes of the Adour-Garonne basin classified as a vulnerable zone is derived from the annexes of l' prefectural decree of designation of 21/12/2018 and of the prefectural decree of delimitation of 21/12/2018. __Origin__ This JDD was created on the perimeter of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region during the heritage harmonisation project in July 2016. It is produced from the assembly of data from the 3 former regions Aquitaine, Limousin and Poitou-Charentes. Zoning produced by the DREAL Occitanie. Zoning is derived from the aggregation of the cadastral sections retained from the 2013 Bdparcellar.
