This dataset contains the administrative sectors (surface objects) of the Pyrenees National Park for the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
The Pyrenees National Park is composed of six administrative sectors that cover the Heart Zone and the Optimal Area of Accession:
— The Aspe sector (Pyrenees-Atlantiques)
— The Ossau sector (Pyrénées-Atlantiques)
— The sector of Azun (Hautes-Pyrénées)
— The area of Cauterets (Hautes-Pyrénées)
— The sector of Luz (Hautes-Pyrénées)
— The sector of Aure (Hautes-Pyrénées)
The boundaries of the sectors correspond to administrative boundaries of municipalities, with three exceptions (the municipalities of Estaing, Campan and Bagnères de Bigorre).
Field officers are located in each sector, under the responsibility of a sector leader. The guards’ offices are located in the heart of the valleys:
— Bedous for the Aspe sector
— Laruns and Gabas for the Ossau sector
— Arrens-Marsous for the Azun sector
— Cauterets for the Cauterets sector
— Luz-Saint-Sauveur and Gèdre for the Luz sector
— Saint-Lary for the Aure sector
The field officers implement the policy of the Pyrenees National Park on their sector, in relation to the headquarters of the national park located in Tarbes.
