In order to achieve the objectives of good environmental status, the 2006 Water and Aquatic Environments Act (LEMA) reaffirmed the need to restore ecological continuity by providing for the revision of classifications.
Thus, the new classifications introduced by l' Article 6 of the LEMA and declined in the \#x27; Article L214-17 of the code of l' environment and its regulatory part make it possible to adapt the previous devices to the new context. They present two lists of courses d'water (list 1 and list 2).
Objectives of List 1: preserve watercourses or stretches of rivers d'water:
— in very good ecological condition,
— & biological tanks &, endowed with a rich biodiversity playing the role of nursery,
— requiring complete protection of amphihaline migratory fish.
Consequence: prohibition of building any new obstacle to ecological continuity, regardless of use.
