The European Directive n°2002-49 of 25 June 2002 on the assessment and management of noise in the environment lays down the framework for noise control policy.
The data were produced in response to Decree No. 2006-361 of 24 March 2006 on the establishment of noise maps and noise prevention plans in the environment.
It specifies that noise maps and noise prevention plans in the environment are drawn up:
(1) For each road and motorway infrastructure with annual traffic exceeding 3 million vehicles;
(2) For each railway infrastructure whose annual traffic exceeds 30,000 train crossings;
(3) For agglomerations with more than 100,000 inhabitants whose list is annexed to the decree.
Noise zones were developed in 2008 in the Landes department. Four families of noise maps constitute the initial diagnosis according to four harmonised sound level indicators: Lden(level day evening night), Ln (level night), Lden greater than 68 dB(A) and Ln greater than 62 dB(A)
Axes concerned in 2008:
— motorway network: A63 A64,
— national network: RN10,
— departmental network: RD29 RD129 RD524 RD810 RD824 RD932E RD947,
— Road network of Dax
Reading these maps imposes some precautions detailed below.
__Origin__
genealogies kings are possible to obtain the constitutive dataset of a PPR:
* L#x27; preparation of the PPR has taken place a posteriori of the publication of this standard. The master of the PPR was able to take into account the technical specifications of the PPR standard from the start of the procedure.
* The development of the PPR and the publication of this standard are concurrent. The geographical data had to be the subject of a “hot” standardisation during the procedure, taking advantage of the knowledge of all stakeholders in the file.
* Publication of the standard took place after the adoption of the PPR procedure. The master responsible for managing the PPR decided to take over the file to produce the data in COVADIS format. This production may involve the resumption of pre-existing geographical data as a share of digitisation.
This metadata can be usefully supplemented with the specific characteristics of the datasets obtained by indicating whether the quality recommendations (B.4) of the standard have been met or possibly measured, and by specifying any technical limitations caused by the procedure used.
