This dataset shows the number of retirees, by plan and place of residence (France or Ensemble = France + foreign).
For stock variables, the JDD presents the workforce at the end of the year; for flow variables, this is the number of persons who settled a right during the year.
A person is defined as a pensioner if he receives a direct-right pension and/or a secondary pension (reversion pension) from a compulsory French public scheme. Persons who receive only a minimum old-age allowance paid by the SASPA (i.e. they do not receive any direct or derivative rights) are therefore not considered to be retired.
The ‘All regimes’ data are estimated from the [ancetre](https://drees.solidarites-sante.gouv.fr/sources-outils-et-enquetes/le-modele-ancetre) model; the data by plan are taken from the [Annual Survey of Pension Funds](https://drees.solidarites-sante.gouv.fr/sources-outils-et-enquetes/01-lenquete-annuelle-aupres-des-caisses-de-retraite-eacr).
