The dataset contains the perimeter of sites constrained by soil pollution requiring public action, identified in the BASOL database (polluted (or potentially polluted) sites and soils requiring public action, either preventively or curatively) (Attention: the dataset is not exhaustive and there are still sites to be digitised)
Knowledge of the perimeter of these sites is essential so that these constraints can be apprehended and taken into account by all the actors involved in land use planning, in order to preserve the issues identified in the Environmental Code, particularly from a health and environmental point of view.
This knowledge is also essential to encourage the recycling of these degraded spaces, another major challenge in Lorraine given the land pressure on certain sectors located at the heart of former industrial basins and the reduction of natural and rural areas. __Origin__
The digitalisation was carried out by a study under control of DREAL Lorraine.
From a plan in digital format that clearly identifies the boundaries of the site or from a document listing the plots, the sites have been digitised from the appropriate repositories.
The accuracy of the scanning is cadastral and s' supports the vector Parcellar BD (priority) and raster.
In addition to; a surface GIS layer corresponding to the perimeter of the site, the locators, i.e. the centroid (represented by a point) d' a plot was extracted from the perimeter of the site in order to generate a complementary geographical layer.
Validation by DREAL was done by sampling from the sites delivered by the study office.
A field "MODIF_GEO" was added to the GIS layer to indicate a date when the polluted site was geometrically modified.
