Dataset description
Indicators of perinatality and early childhood to know maternal and child health in the Hauts-de-Seine.
* * *
According to the Public Health Code (Article 2112-2), the collection and processing of epidemiological and public health information are part of the tasks of the Departmental Department of Maternal and Child Protection (PMI).
Based on data from INSEE, INSERM and the exploitation of health certificates for the 8th and 9th and 24th months as well as from the health checks in kindergarten of children domiciled in Hauts-de-Seine, the perinatal — early childhood indicators presented in this dataset allow a knowledge of maternal and child health in the departmental territory.
Several themes are addressed: characteristics of mothers during pregnancy and childbirth, health status of newborns, medical and vaccination monitoring of children under 6 years of age, early childhood care.

Early neonatal mortality rate: Deaths of children less than 7 days old reported to live births, expressed per thousand.
Infant mortality rate: Number of deaths of children under one year of age reported to live births, expressed per thousand.
Rate of mothers with pregnancy pathology: Number of mothers who suffered from different pathologies during pregnancy (gestational diabetes, arterial hypertension ± proteinuria or other) reported to the total number of pregnancies expressed per cent.
Hospitalisation rate during pregnancy: Number of pregnancies in which the mother was hospitalised in relation to the total number of pregnancies, expressed per cent. The reasons for hospitalisation are: threat of premature childbirth, intrauterine growth retardation, high blood pressure or others.
Rate of children with congenital illness: Number of children with congenital illness in relation to the total number of children, expressed per cent. Congenital anomalies may be underreported. The most frequently reported pathologies are: heart, urinary or genital malformations, hip dislocations and foot malpositions.

Its objective is to define the care in the school environment of the student in the light of its specificities and to ensure communication with the educational community of the school. The IAP is a written protocol between the parents, the school (head of establishment, doctor, nurse, social worker, psychologist counsellor, educational team — teacher, senior education counsellor, etc.) and external partners, to allow the reception of a pupil with a disability or illness.
BMI: Body mass index. The body mass index is a size that makes it possible to estimate a person’s corpulence. It is calculated as follows: weight (kg)/size (m) ².
Childhood obesity degree 1 and 2: BMI greater than the 97th percentile on the corpulence curves of the child’s health record.
Underweight: BMI less than the 3 rd percentile on the corpulence curves of the child’s health record.
