The Departmental Archives of Hauts-de-Seine retains a large collection of postcards consisting mainly of acquisitions.
This collection of nearly 10,500 postcards, illustrating the urban and rural landscapes of the 36 communes of Hauts-de-Seine as well as the different modes of locomotion over time, consists of 3 subseries:
* 9 Fi, Ancient Postcards (1900-1944),
* 10 Fi, Postcards postcards after the Second World War (1945 to the present day)
* 12 Fi 2, Lapie Collection (1950-1955).
These postcards, classified by municipalities and themes, evoke the past of our 36 municipalities: street scenes, lively markets, elegant walks in the woods or parks. The theme of transport is widely represented with railways, trams, cars and aviation.
The Departmental Archives offers in this data set the subseries of old postcards (9 Fi) devoted to the period 1900 to 1944, subseries that fell into the public domain. This online collection will be enriched regularly as the digitisation operations of this iconographic collection progress.
