__Origine__
The method was developed in the Armoric Massif. It is particularly suitable for hydrological systems with superficial aquifers developing in relatively unpermeable environments, especially in all ancient massifs (Massif Armoricain, Massif Central...). It has been developed for watersheds of order 1 to 3 (Stalher ordination) (which often account for 80 % of the area of a watershed), where it is well adapted. It will be less relevant in higher watersheds, and in large wetlands (e.g. Redon marsh), coastal marshes. In these wetlands, however, the problem of delimitation does not really arise.
