A building classified or proposed for classification shall be considered to be located in the field of visibility of any other building, bare or built, visible to the first or visible at the same time, and situated within a perimeter n' not exceeding 500 metres. Exceptionally, this perimeter can be extended to more than 500 meters. A decree in the Council of State, adopted after consulting the Higher Commission of Historic Monuments, will determine the monuments to which it applies; apply this extension and delineate the perimeter of protection specific to each of them.
At the time of the elaboration or revision of a local plan of #x27; urban planning, the perimeter of 500 meters may, on proposal of the #x27 rd; architect of the Bâtiments de France and after agreement of the municipality, be modified to designate sets of #x27; buildings and spaces that participate in the #x27th; the environment of the monument to preserve its character or contribute to improving its quality. The perimeter is subject to public inquiry in conjunction with the local plan of urban planning. It is annexed to the local plan d' urban planning under the conditions laid down in Article L. 126-1 of the code de l' urban planning.
