Surface objects (from the BD Topo of IGN) of public institutions of intercommunal cooperation (EPCI) of the department of Charente.
These are groupings of municipalities with the aim of developing common development projects within solidarity perimeters. They are subject to common, homogeneous and comparable rules to those of local authorities.
Municipalities shall transfer their powers to the establishment they create.
An EPCI may exercise only those powers which have been explicitly transferred to it either by law or by its member municipalities.
