__Origin__
In 2016-2017, an inventory of the works that could contribute to the fight against floods was compiled on the basis of available knowledge. The first data were extracted from the SIOUH application (System d' Information on Hydraulic Works).
Only classified structures and those that may have a flood prevention role and those located in their extension have been listed.
In particular, the following were taken into account:
• Works for which an entity with GEMAPI competence is identified;
• Works that are in the process of classification
• Works with an ongoing hazard study
• Retention basins intercepting a watercourse.
DREAL consulted DDT and MATB members to complete this inventory as well as mayors of municipalities and some managers.
DREAL requested support from CEREMA in carrying out this work.
Two categories of work have been identified in the inventory:
• unretained works which protect less than 30 persons;
• Structures capable of forming part of the composition of 'a system of containment or d' hydraulic fittings, for which data must be checked to specify their role in prevention.
Extraction of data from the SIOUH application (Information System on Hydraulic Works) and consultation with DDTs, members of the Basin Technical Support Mission, mayors and managers.
Data collection by DREAL and formatting by CEREMA
