Dataset description
Geographical layer covering the entire regional territory by hexagonal meshes defining the ecological issues leading to the definition of the Regional Ecological Coherence Scheme in Languedoc-Rousillon. Each mesh (hexagonal polygon) contains a combination of indicators characterising ecological importance on the one hand, against the human footprint on the other. This data thus reveals areas of high tension between human activity and ecological interest. The implementation methodology was entrusted to the CNRS CEFE laboratory in 2013. A full note is available at the DENV or the Regional Council’s GIS service, and can also be downloaded from the 3D website SRCE http://srce.cr-languedocroussillon.fr/TW3D/index.php
