Regional elections 1986-2010

The results of the regional elections from 1998 to 2010 are available by legislative constituency and those of the 1986 and 1992 elections by department. Until the 1992 elections, the results were obtained from the Sociopolitical Data Bank (BDSP) in Grenoble, whose sociopolitical data centre ([CDSP](http://cdsp.sciences-po.fr/)) of Sciences Po took over in 2005. The following elections were held by the Ministry of the Interior. For the 1986 and 1992 elections, the voting method was proportional (one-round) and the political offer was proposed at the departmental level. For Corsica, the 1992 election took place in two rounds, but only the results of the first round are available in the existing resource. For both elections, data are aggregated by political trends. In the following elections, the lists of candidates were presented at regional level (with departmental sections). Some elections are also available at municipal level: — for 1986, 1992 and 1998, only the results of municipalities with more than 9000 inhabitants; — for 2004, only municipalities with more than 3500 inhabitants on the 1st tower, and all municipalities for the 2nd tower.
