Rennes Métropole Geodesic Canvas Stations

This layer of points constitutes one of the elements of the geodesic canvas of Rennes Métropole. For information, a canvas is a set of geodetic points known in position and serving as the backbone for the realisation of a topographic survey. The stations of the geodesic canvas of Rennes Métropole are known points in planimetry and altimetry and materialised on the ground in different ways (borne, spit, picket...). Details: In planimetry, the total precision class applicable to the tops of canvas is 2 cm on the territory of the City of Rennes and 2.5 cm on the rest of the territory of Rennes Métropole. In altimetry, the precision class relative to the IGN and Rennes Métropole networks applicable to the tops of canvas is 1 cm. Attention: Given the risks of displacement or movement of geodetic points, it is essential to link the topometry operations to several nearby geodetic points, in order to ensure their stability. No liability can be incurred in the absence of such control.
