In a context of major changes in the economic and social environment, the ROME (Operational Directory of Trades and Jobs) is a tool for professional mobility and reconciliation between tenders and candidates.
The ROME was built by the Pôle emploi teams with the contribution of a broad network of partners (companies, branches and trade unions, AFPA, etc.), based on a pragmatic approach: Inventory of the most common job titles/occupations, analysis of activities and skills, grouping of jobs according to the principle of equivalence or proximity.
A draft revision of the ROME is under way, with the aim of developing the competency approach.
In particular, it aims to:
restructure the competency framework, its content, organisation and feeding in ROME job sheets
streamlining the benchmark of work environments revisited in working contexts
adapt the mock-up of the ROME fiche, with significant changes to the concepts of its headings, in particular for skills
The trajectory of this large-scale project, with significant business and SI impacts, foresees the transition from the current ROME (ROME V3) to the future ROME (ROME 4.0) in Pôle emploi services in June 2022.
With this in mind, the ROME V3 will no longer be updated as of July 2021.
