A DCE basin corresponds to: — either to a national river basin district (example: Courses d'water of Corsica) — or a portion of an international river basin district situated in the territory of a Member State (examples: the Meuse; the Sambre) Each WFD basin has a coordinating competent authority which is the body responsible for the implementation of the WFD within the WFD basin.
