Restricted zones of the Technology Risk Prevention Plan (PPRT) of MLPC International in Rion-des-Landes — Landes (40)

Risk Prevention Plans (RPPs) are the key instrument for risk prevention. Their objective is to control development in areas at risk. L' development of a risk prevention plan generates a series of spatial data organised into several datasets. This dataset describes the restricted areas of the plan once approved. RPP regulations generally distinguish: — the ‘zones d' prohibition to build’, known as ‘red zones’, when the level of ' hazard is strong and the general rule is n°#x27; prohibition on building; — ‘required areas’, known as ‘blue zones’ where the level of hazard is average and projects are subject to requirements adapted to the type of #x27; issue and areas not directly exposed to risks but subject to prohibitions or requirements __Origin__ The noise levels emitted by a given infrastructure during an average day are evaluated using numerical models producing isophone curves reduced in noise zones, according to the index recommended for all modes of transport at European level, namely the Lden index and the Ln index. The isophone curves are thus used to delineate the external and, where appropriate, internal boundaries of noise zones by range of d' indices.
