Flood vigilance sections represent those parts of watercourses on which state services provide a regulatory mission of monitoring, forecasting and transmitting flood information.
Each section is assigned a color: green, yellow, orange or red, depending on the level of alertness required, indicating the danger likely to occur in the hours, or days to come. Outside of the flood period, a national newsletter and local news bulletins specify the evolution of floods twice a day, at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. In times of floods, these bulletins are updated more frequently.

The flow described in this sheet corresponds to the provision, at each publication of the flood vigilance, of a geographical representation **simplified** of the sections with the associated level of vigilance. This is a geojson stream accessible below.
The original geographical representation of the sections was constructed from the BDCarthage hydrographic sections, which are simplified for this stream.
